Soon after two months, MM bloomed like a very beautiful flower. The company is becoming more successful. Every now and then she would fly to United States to attend conferences with executives from other companies. But she never forgets to visit Tee.
Dee on the other hand can still do nothing about his feelings. He feels that its not the right time yet. He sulks in his office every now and then, trying so hard to focus on his work rather than thinking of MM.
When Ann and Ian would visit, they would laugh at him. He already confess to them that she loves MM. At first Ann was angry at him that he didn't tell that he also loved her way back before he dumped her but she let it go because past is past as Ian had said.
Fretz and Bret moved to L.A. Freya's dad convinced the both of them to moved there because he wants someone to look after the newly opened Lopez Marketing building in L.A. Brandon and Freya are the ones managing the business.Even thought the two were distant they would chat with them always.

MM returned from home when she came across with a paper on her desk. " Oh yeah, I've never seen this paper..." she thought. The paper that Tee gave he before he died. MM reached for the paper with shaking hands. She opened and it said:

But I know fate knows all, it is not us who is destined for each other...

Are We Just Friends? ( The Finale Part 2)
"Em," Tee whispered on MM's ear. Em's position did not change. She didn't hugged him back. Its a hope for DD. He kept on chanting, " Please don't hugged him back, please don't"
Dahan-dahang kinalas ni MM ang kamay ni Tee. She looked on the ground. " I'm just here to fix things. To end this fiasco," she started. Tee's smile began to vanish. " It's not a fiasco, its-" he interrupted but soon interrupted by MM.
" For me, it is. I'm just here to clarify things. It's not just your fault but also mine. I'm sorry but we can't continue like this. It's hard to patch the mistakes that we've done in this relationship, it will be hard to keep on again, its just, it will just get more complicated. Tee, as much as it hurts you, we really need to end this..." She finished with a meaningful but sad look. She started on turning away.
" But," Tee started to say but someone interrupted him again. " Just let her go, nothing will happen if you let her stay in you heart. She will just stay in her prison of heart aches. I watched her cry on that park, every drop was meaningful, it meant moving on. Every drop was the pain she gained, from the death of her parents, to my denial, to your mistake on cheating on her, and on everything that caused her pain." Dee said as he watched MM walk away.
He tapped Tee on his shoulder. " Even your relationship is gone, you can still start a new relationship by being friends right?" Tee was listening intently. " Let her go out of your heart," he pointed at Tee's heart "but let her in to your heart again as a friend." he finished. " Thanks man!" Tee suddenly replied. " Now go after her and tell her to be friends with her again!" he said.
Even though he didn't want them to be together again, he knows that being friends will melt the pain easier. He smiled as he tried to catch up on the two.
But a budding danger awaits for their return to the house.
Tee decided to help them to arrange all the things on the house.
" Fred, please tumigil ka na, wag mo nang ituloy yan, mas lalo lang masisira and pangalan mo. Oo nga at kakatakas mo pa lang, pero mainit pa ang mga mata ng mga utoridad sa'yo. Pugante ka na Fred, wala ng silang awang barilin ka kung sakali Fred... Wag munang ituloy! Baka mapatay ka!" nagmamakaawang boses ni Lenita Castro ang naririnig ni Fred sa kabilang linya.
" Masira na kung masira Lenita! Wala na akong paki-alam! Habulin na ng mga utoridad! Maging pugante na kung pugante! Pero bago ako nila ako matunton at mapatay, mamatay muna si Marieliese Monteverde! Para mag-sama-sama na ang mga pumatay sa mga magulang ko!" galit na sabi ni Fred.
" Fred, kailan mo ba matatanggap na si Cristelle Villanueva ang nagpapatay sa kanila?!" Lenita shot back.
" Hindi niya magagawa yon! Siya ang nagbigay ng lahat lahat kina nanay at tatay!" galit na sabi nito.
" Fred, ayokong sabihin 'to, pero, pag tinuloy mo 'yan wala ka nang masisilayang pamilya..." Umiiyak sa sabi ni Lenita.
" Wala akong pake!" ang wit that natamay ang connection.
Iyak ng iyak si Lenita ng madatnan ito ni Sam.
" Ma, anong nangyari?" nag-aalalang tanong nito... " Ang tatay mo anak, ang tatay mo..." yun lang ang tangi niyang nasabi...
A loud bang was heard that made Tee startled. Dee was approaching the doorway when he heard that loud sound. He quickly got hold of his phone, ready to dial the police number or medic number.
Tee gave him a signal to dial it now. Then they both went upstairs to see whats going on.
" Please, stop..." MM pleaded. Fred shoot her in the knee. Left knee to be exact. " Why would I? I will kill you just like what I did to your parents?" Fred laughed evilly. " Why are you doing this?" tears flowed down as she watched him aim the gun at her.There were no sign of survival.She was cornered...She cannot stop from crying...She closed her eyes...Saying goodbye to the world...
Tee and Dee sprawled into action. Dee was knocked on the floor by Fred's gun. Tee tried to get the gun out of Fred but Fred was strong. He pulled the trigger and shot Tee.
She heard the gun shot...She flinched...Then another from the police who just arrived.
As she opened her eyes she saw two men lying on the floor. There was blood on the floor. Lots of them. Blood from Tee, the man that she once loved. The the other from Fred, the man who tried to kill her. She was crying, reaching for Tee's hands... trying to touch his pale and no lifeless face.
He does not deserve to die... she thought
She can here him whisper his last words, I still love you MM. Tee handed her a folded paper before he dropped his hands on the ground. With that she cried more...
She looked up and saw the police...They were carrying Fred and had put him in a bag. DD being picked up by the medics.
The medics picking both of them up....
They arrived in the hospital. The doctor said Tee was still alive on the ambulance but later pronounced dead on arrival. She cried for weeks. Mourning on her friend's death. But her friends had let her move on.

Tee and MM became friends again instantly. Tee knows about DD's feelings but he didn't get angry about it he even joked, " Well, no one will be able to resist the beauty of our angel. She is always stunning." then said, " It's okay man, I'll help you with that!"***
Since MM still has a week and a half to stay in the U.S. DD and her decided to go her house to rearrange furniture and stuffs. But a budding danger awaits for their return to the house.

Are We Just Friends? ( The Finale Part 1)
" Tee, I'm really sorry... Let's just, let's end this. It won't resort to anything if we continue this. Its not all your fault, it's also my fault for being away." MM started backing and turning away from Taylor as she said the last word. Her face full of apologies. Tee hugged her back, pleading for one more chance.
Dee stood there watching both of them. He wanted to take his hands away from her. But, he was pinned on the ground. His mind was telling him, Looks like he is going to have another chance... MM turned around and touched Tee's cheeks ans said, " If I were to give you another chance will you be loyal on our relationship?" she asked with a questioning look. DD saw her eyes with such hopefulness to restore their ruined relationship.
He wanted to object but his voice was gone. " Yes, I love you so much, I cannot bear a day without you..." Taylor replied with such relief in his voice. " Please forgive me." he continued. " I already did, but do you forgive me?" MM asked hugging him. " You didn't do anything bad." he said slightly chuckling. " But still," MM said. " I do, and I love you so much." he said.
" I love you more..." MM said back. Then, DD saw them kiss. Somehow, his voice came back because he heard himself shout, " NO!" The earth beneath him shook. Tee and MM ascended from the ground. He was left on the bottom being sucked by darkness. Pure darkness. He kept on shouting MM's name. No one answered. Laughter was heard through the darkness, as if people are laughing because of his lameness.

"Ah!" He opened his eyes only to realize that it was a dream. A stupid, almost real nightmare. He won't let it happen. He is going to claim back MM before Tee does.
" Attention, we will be landing in a few hours." a voice of a woman was heard from the intercom.
He turned to see what MM was doing. Of course, she is sleeping, nuzzling on a small pillow looking as lovely as angel.

They've been in an isolated place for almost 3 hours waiting for someone to be free from his schedule. The guy doesn't know they are there some more. He was getting pretty annoyed. " Well, konti na lang siguro, kasi kung sa Calafornia natin siya pupuntahan, baka it will take 2 days." MM said giving DD a sorry-for-dragging-you-here look. " Okay lang." Even though its not.
Yep, they flew somewhere one day after makalapag ang eroplano nila sa L.A. And its pretty hot on where they went. MM looks beautiful in her clothes. Just wearing a check top and denim shorts partnered with a black stripe bow pointy toe pump heels. Her eyes covered with a big dark shades. As for DD he wore a simple shirt and pants, and shades to cover her eyes too.
20 minutes later
Taylor emerged from his tent laughing on the phone.His eyes covered from shades as well. He looks happy. He didn't notice them, she heard him saying. " Save me from this place, haha... Well, see you later at the restaurant." then he walked off again. He stopped on his tracks when he noticed the bag beside MM.
DD felt MM stiffened when Tee stopped on his tracks. He looked at where he was possibly looking at. MM's bag. And the special customized bag just for MM. He was sure Tee recognized it. Then he saw him looked at her up and down, up and down. He almost looked like he going to drop his jaws.
All of a sudden, as fast as the lightning Tee was hugging MM.

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 33)
*Flashbacks*
It has been two weeks until the incident where Emily attacked her with insults because DD broke up with her. Emily is blaming her. At the moment she went inside the car, Emily began pounding the window. She cannot hear her clearly. But she can read what Emily's mouth says. " Please... another chance..."
She saw pain in Emily's eyes, but compared to her pain, MM's pain is greater. Emily cheated but still in pain but she didn't cheated but she is in pain...

" Dee, would you?" she asked doubtfully. DD started the engine again... He didn't talk. Outside Emily is still trying to open the door. DD was stating to move. But Emily blocked the way. Hopefully, security arrived and pulled her out of the way.
MM's POV
I sighed as I looked at Emily. Flirt. That's all what came out of my mind as the car moved. Leaving the poor flirt on the parking lot. I trying to look at DD's expression, but as usual, all I can see is his dark gaze. He was absentmindedly looking on the driveway. Poor him...
DD's POV
I wanted to give her a chance. But after the revelations, I just, I just can't. All I can do now, is to... move on...
" Dee, are you okay?" I heard MM's voice.
" Y-yeah, of course..." I stutter. How stupid of me to stutter?! There was a lump in my throat. I wanted to give up. I wanted to cry. Somehow, MM felt that.
" Go ahead, cry your heart out... It will help you... I'm sure. Pull over and I'll do the driving. Or else, I'll kill you." I can't believe she can still manage to pull a joke on a serious situation. I hesitated to listen to her though.
" Dee, don't be a hard headed person. Just let it out..." she said calmly. I don't know why she is so calm right now, while earlier, she spanked and yelled at Emily.
I finally gave up. I pulled over the car. Just then, MM pulled out a bracelet from her bag and gave it to me.
MM's POV
Crap. Why does he stare at me like that?! When I was giving him the bracelet, he raised a eyebrow and gave me a what-the-heck-is-that look. I grabbed his hands and put the bracelet. I started the engine and drive.
Silence ate our beings. But I can hear him sniffing. Sign that he is crying... I sighed. " I told you cry it aloud. You can move on faster that way..." I told him. I saw something interesting on the road.
" What is the bracelet fo-" I cut him. " Wait here. I'm gonna buy something."
DD's POV
I sighed, but I cannot stop myself. After she had go out, I started to cry. I covered my face and tried to stop. Then I looked at where MM was going. I looked in shock. Childish.
She went back with a plastic bag. I raised an eyebrow. She looked at me intently.
" I knew it. You would cry your heart out if there is nobody with you." she said trying to sound funny.
" And about the bracelet," she paused looking for some sort of answer on the road. " Well, um, nothing much, they said it help you recover from heartbreaks..." she said while turning on a curve.
" So, like a lucky charm?" I asked lightly chuckling.
" Most probably..." she said slightly grinning.
MM's POV
I don't why, I should've told him, but my instincts tell me, don't. I sighed. I focused my mind on the driveway.

" MM, I didn't know its this hard to take when I got cheated..." DD said, he sighed and absentmindedly staring at me. I glanced at him, saw his feelings through his eyes. There was pain, hurt, sadness name it all... Suddenly, my mind began saying stuffs...
" Does he saw what you felt when you first knew about what Tee did?" my mind said challenging me into a fight.
I sighed again, trying to ignore what my mind was saying...
" I guess he is so busy with her flirty girlfriend that's why he never bother talking to you!" my mind is so irritating. Why can't I control it...
I hardened my grip on the steering wheel, pressed the gas, then after a minute or two, I abruptly stepped in the brake. Dee was flabbergasted. I guess he was floating on his thoughts and never noticed when I speed up.
" Sorry," I said. He sighed. " It's okay, I'll drive for now, I guess you are just tired from work. You've been thinking on a lot of things this past few days," he opened the car door and we switched places, he started the engine and we are back on the road, " And I also heard you booked a ticket to U.S. next month." he continued while me is staring at the street lights looking for some answers on what my mind asks. " Is is about-" he abruptly stop his sentence.
I looked at him, " Yeah," then I stared back at the street lights.

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 32)
Namumuhay na siya ng tahimik kasama ng taong kanyang pinakamamahal. Ilang taon na rin ang lumipas ng mangyari ang lahat. 5 taon. 5 taon na ang lumipas. Nakatayo siya at ang kanyang anak sa puntod ng isang taong minsang minahal. Iniisip niya pa rin kung bakit, bakit naisipan nitong gawin na iligtas ang buhay niya sa kamay ng isang taong kinamumuhian ang kanyang pamilya. Siya na dapat ang mamamatay, pero ito ang humarang. Imbis, na siya ang mamatay, ito pa ang nagsakripisyo. Ilang taon rin niyang iniisip kung bakit, pero ngayon pa niya napagtanto. Mahal nga talaga siya nito. Naguiguilty siya, bakit hindi niya ito binigyan ng chance. Di sana hahantong sa ganito ang sitwasyon. Pero kung binigyan niya ito ng chance, meron kaya siyang anak na katulad ni Katherine Mae. Napabalik siya sa huwisyo ng magsalita ang anak.

She looked a lot like her mother. But her eyes was from her father. This cute little girl seemed to look angelic. But, she is a naughty kid. Always do pranks. But she is a talented and intelligent kid. She always gets an A+ on her grades. She may be still in kindergarten, but she has the brains of a 1st graders. She is just like her mom. Who loved books. Sometimes, she outsmart her mom and dad.
"Wait baby, let's stay here for another 5 minutes then go. After that, we'll grab some ice cream." MM grinned. She knows her baby girl would not say no to an ice cream. Her baby loves ice cream. "Alright mom," she said. She looked so bored. " Bye," MM murmured as she stand. She grabbed her daughter's hand and went back to the car.

Ivan finally had the guts to tell Ann what he truly feels about her 4 years ago. Then they got married 2 and half years ago. Ann is expecting a baby soon.
" You still remembered what happened 5 years ago?" her husband asked worriedly. "I dreamed of it once in a while. I just wanted to thank him again for saving my life." she said trying to hide the fear she is still feeling even though it happened 5 years ago.
Yes, the one who tried to killed her died already, but the fact that she almost got killed, she still cannot get over it. Sometimes she could forget, but suddenly those memories will come back in a flash.
Her husband sighed. She still cannot get over it.
" Let's go grab some food outside!" he said cheerfully.

" We can still play later Kate." he called her by her nickname. Her daughter doesn't want to be called by her full name, or just Katherine, or Mae. She wanted her nickname that's all. When she was 2 and a half years old, she threw a tantrum because she was called by her full name.

There were no sign of survival.

He led her upstairs. The sunset was already replace by darkness. They take a look at their daughter who was sleeping comfortably in her bedroom. They too, went to their bedroom and get some sleep.
Tomorrow, they will have work... Another tiring day...

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 26)
" Good evening, Mr. Perez." panimula si MM. " How is our branch here in Davao?" dagdag pa ni MM.
" Good evening Ms. Monteverde, this is Mr.Johnson. He wants to be part of the company." Sabi ni Mr. Perez.
" Good evening Mr. Johnson. I would we happy to welcome you in our company." masayang sabi ni MM.
" By the way, this is Daniel Diaz my assistant." she said.
" Goodevening!" masayang sabi ng mga kameeting nila kay DD.
Bata at gwapo si Mr. Johnson. Mukhang bago pa lang din sa ganitong business pero mukhang magaling magpatakbo ng kompanya.
" Mr. Johnson was actually a Filipino Ms. Monteverde. Although his father was an American." sabi ni Mr. Perez.
" Oh, so your are helping your father." pagconclude ni MM.
" Well, yes. I need to, He died last year and I need to run the company he made here. And also I find if nice to join your company." Masayang sabi ni Mr. Johnson.
Nagpatuloy pa ang pag-uusap nila. Bored na si DD. Hindi na niya matagalan ang antok niya "daw". Nagpaalam siya at matutulog na. 11.30 na rin kasi.
Kung anu-ano kasi ang pinag-uusapan nila.

Sa airport ng Davao,
Ring! Ring! Ring!
" Hello," panimula ni DD. " Yes, pabalik na ng Manila. Sige Bye Babe. I love you." at binaba ang telepono.

" Yeah." tipid nitong sagot kay MM.
Ring! Ring!
" Hello, sweety!" panimula ni MM. " How are you?... Yes.... I'm in Davao right now... But I'm coming back today in Manila. 3.30 pm is our arrival in Manila... Why did you ask?.... Oh ok, I love you, Bye bye, take care!" malapit na sana niyang ibaba ang telepono.
" Hey, where are you right now? Why is it so loud in the background? Are you in a party or something?"tanong ni MM.
" Oh, well then, bye bye..." at sinara na ang telepono.
" Hmmm, Tee is it?" tanong naman ni DD.
" Yeah." tipid na sagot ni MM. Tumayo bumili ng kung ano. Pagbalik niya ubos na ito.
" What did you buy?" tanong ni DD.
" I bought something that could make my stress disappear." sabi ni MM na may pagkamalungkot ang boses.
" Bakit?" tanong ni DD.
" Nah, it not your problem anyways." sabi ni MM.
" But-" naputol siya ng isang announcement.
" PAL going to Manila is now ready for boarding" sabi ng announcer.
Tumayo si Devon at nagtungo na sa eroplano.
"Hayyyy, whats her problem?" tanong ni DD sa isip niya.

Sa Manila,
Nag-hahassle si MM na lumabas ng airport.
Napakamot lang ng ulo si DD.
Sa sobrang pagmamadali ni MM, natapilok siya.
" Aray!"
" Ba't kasi boots ang sinuot mo?!" naiiritang sabi ni DD.
" Tsaka bakit ka ba kasi nagmamadali?1" dagdag pa nito.
" Naiinis na ako sa'yo ha!" galit na sabi ni MM.
Nagmadali pa siyang lumakad at kumuha ng taxi.
" What the?!" nagulat siya. Bigla na lang umalis si MM.
Dinial ni ang number ni MM.
" Sorry the number you have dialled is not available. Please try again later."
" Haizt! Lagot nanaman ako?! Pero ano ba ang ginawa ko?!" mahinang sabi niya sa sarili.
" Babeeeee!" sigaw ng isang boses mula sa malayo.
Isang taong kumakaway.
Papalapit sa kanya.
Si Emily.
" Hi babe!" bati nito sabay kiss sa cheeks.
" Hi babe."

" Bakit ganun? Bakit palagi na lang ganito ang end ng love life ko? Malungkot? Ma, sinumpa ba ako na walang successful na love life? Bakit ganun?" umiiyak si mM habang nakatingin a langit.
Nasa isang park siya ngayon. Wala tao, kaya umiyak na lang siya ng umiyak. Naalala niya kasi bigla ang tawag ni Tee sa kanya.
" Hello sweety," panimula niya.
Nung una, medyo hindi maingay ang paligid.
" How are you?" tanong niya.
" Uh, I'm fine." alanganing sagot ni Tee.
" Are you okay?Where are you now?" tanong ni Tee.
" Yes... I'm in Davao right now... But I'm coming back today in Manila. # pm is our arrival in Manila... Why did you ask?" sagot niya.
" Nothing... I need to go now." tipid na sagot nito.
" Oh ok, I love you, Bye bye, take care!" sabi niya.
" Ok bye bye..." tapos bigla na lang umingay ang paligid.
" Hey, where are you right now? Why is it so loud in the background? Are you in a party or something?" curious na tanong niya.
" Yeah, with my friend." tipid na sagot nito.
Tapos may narinig siyang boses sa background. Naramdaman niyang inilayo ni Tee ang telepono. Pero may narinig siyang sinabi ni Tee. " Later babe." yun ang nadinig niya.
Narinig pa niya na, " Okay babe! Let's dance later okay!" kahit malakas ang music, narinig niya ang boses na yun dahil sumisigaw yung babae.
Gusto niya nang ibaba ang telepono.
Kaya sinabi na lang niya, " Oh, well then, bye bye."
Buong time na nakasakay siya sa eroplano, ang nasa isip niya, " Meron ba siyang iba? Hindi na ba niya ako mahal? Ano ba talaga ang ibig sabhin ng kwintas na binigay niya sa akin." Gusto niya umiyak ng mga sandaling iniisip niya iyon. Pero nasa eroplano siya at maraming tao.
Kaya ngayon nandito siya, umiiyak.
Parang katulad lang ng dati. Heartbroken nanaman siya.
Kahit di pa niya alam ang totoo, meron siyang nararamdaman. Na parag totoo ang iniisip niya.
Ilang oras ang lumipas. Gabi na rin, Napagdesisyunan niyang umuwi na.
Pagdating sa bahay, sinalubong siya ng Tita Marie niya ng isang malaking at mahigpit ng yakap.
" We thought sometihng happened to you!" worried na sabi ng Tita niya.
" May pinuntahan lang po ako."sabi na lang niya.
" Mukhang pagod ka ah... Magpahinga kana... Kumain ka muna kaya." suggest ng Tita niya.
" Busog po ako Tita. Magpapahinga na lang po ako." tumango lang ang Tita niya. Umakyat siya sa kwarto at sinara ang pinto.
Binuksan niya ang T.V. Nilipat niya sa International news.
Reporter " Taylor Lautner has been currently seen dating a new girl. They are really sweet and had been seen on a party often. The question is, Is Taylor Lautner and MM Monteverde, the current girlfriend of Taylor Lautner really beak up already? Tina singing out."
Paulit-ulit na tanong ang sumasagi sa isipan ni MM.
" Hindi na ba niya ako mahal? Ano ba ang nagawa ko sa kanya?"
Sinara niya ang t.v.

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 25)
" Bye, sweetie!" she said waving her hands at Tee.
" Bye sweetheart!" Tee said back sending a flying kiss.

" Iha, nakakapagod diba?" sabi ng Tita Marie niya sa likod niya.
Napansin nitong napipikit na ang mga mata ni MM at nabibitawan na ang ballpen na sana ay pangpipirma niya sa isang dokumento.
"Pang ilang document na ba yan for today?" tanong ng Tita niya.
" 10th po Tita." pagod na sabi ni MM.
Kahit 2 weeks pa lang siya sa trabaho, nasubsub na agadsiya sa meetings, appointments, at kung anu-ano pa.
" Meron pa pong lima, na kailangan mareview." dagdag pa ni MM.
" Paalala ko lang sa'yo, bukas ang flight mo papuntang Davao, para macheck ang branch ng company doon." paalala ng Tita niya.
" Nakahanda na po ang lahat Tita." sabi niya.
" Magpasama ka na kaya kay DD ng meron kang assistant. Tutal papunta rin naman siya bukas sa Davao, magbabakasyon muna daw." suggest ng Tita niya.
" Ay wag na Tita, magbabakasyon pala siya. Baka maistorbo ko lang ho..." nahihiyang sabi ni MM.
" Hindi okay lang, ng maexperience niya na agad ang mapasok sa trabaho. Aba, 2 months ng graduate eh, wala pang balak magtrabaho, bakasyon ng bakasyon, kailangan rin naman niyang masubukang magtrabaho na nang mapatakbo na niya ang mga business namin, hirap narin naman na ako sa trabaho..." nakapameywang na sabi nito.
" Baka naman ho gusto lang mag-ready, malaki rin naman po kasi ang papatakbuhin niya kung saka-sakali."
" Ay nako, baka nga... Iha, matulog ka na muna at bukas maaga ka pa, Tito mo muna siguro ang bahala sa mga dokumentong 'yan. Kukuhanin ko na at nang mareview ng Tito mo. Matulog ka na..." sabi ng Tita niya.
" Sige po, goodnight Tita!"

Naalimpungatan si MM, tinignan niya ang orasan, 3 am ng umaga. Tatlong oras pa lang siyang natutulog.
Lumabas siya at bumaba patungong kitchen, nauuhaw na siya.
Nakapikit ang mata, dahan-dahang naglalakad, nagtungo sa kitchen, binuksan ang ilaw, kinuha ang pitsel at baso.
BLAG!
Nagulat si MM sa narinig.
Lumingon siya, nandoon si DD, pinupulot ang nabasag na baso ng wine.
Nilapag niya ang baso at pitsel sa mesa at tinulungan si DD na pulutin ang basag na baso.
" Still awake is it?" tanong ni MM. Ayaw niyang tignan ito.
" Guess so..." tanging sabi nito. Napipikit na rin ang mga mata ni DD. Masyado na atang maraming awine ang nainom niya.

" Then what was the call about earlier?" tanong ni MM.
" I sensed na meron kayong pinag-aawayan." dagdag pa ni MM.
" Wala yun." kinakabahang sabi ni DD.
" Okay then." sabi naman ni MM

Napansin nitong napipikit na ang mga mata ni MM at nabibitawan na ang ballpen na sana ay pangpipirma niya sa isang dokumento.

Kahit 2 weeks pa lang siya sa trabaho, nasubsub na agadsiya sa meetings, appointments, at kung anu-ano pa.
" Meron pa pong lima, na kailangan mareview." dagdag pa ni MM.
" Paalala ko lang sa'yo, bukas ang flight mo papuntang Davao, para macheck ang branch ng company doon." paalala ng Tita niya.
" Nakahanda na po ang lahat Tita." sabi niya.
" Magpasama ka na kaya kay DD ng meron kang assistant. Tutal papunta rin naman siya bukas sa Davao, magbabakasyon muna daw." suggest ng Tita niya.
" Ay wag na Tita, magbabakasyon pala siya. Baka maistorbo ko lang ho..." nahihiyang sabi ni MM.
" Hindi okay lang, ng maexperience niya na agad ang mapasok sa trabaho. Aba, 2 months ng graduate eh, wala pang balak magtrabaho, bakasyon ng bakasyon, kailangan rin naman niyang masubukang magtrabaho na nang mapatakbo na niya ang mga business namin, hirap narin naman na ako sa trabaho..." nakapameywang na sabi nito.

Naalimpungatan si MM, tinignan niya ang orasan, 3 am ng umaga. Tatlong oras pa lang siyang natutulog.
Lumabas siya at bumaba patungong kitchen, nauuhaw na siya.

Lumingon siya, nandoon si DD, pinupulot ang nabasag na baso ng wine.
Nilapag niya ang baso at pitsel sa mesa at tinulungan si DD na pulutin ang basag na baso.

Are We Just Friends? (Chapter 24A)
" Are we ready to go?" sabi ni Tee sa kanya.
" Yeah, oh wait my bag..." binalikan niya ang bag niya sa kitchen.
" Ok. Ready!" masayang sabi niya.
" To the airport!" sabi ni Tee.
The day after tomorrow is the day for MM. She will officially be the president of her parents company.
As usual may mga paparazzing naghihintay sa kanila sa airport.
Buti na lang mabilis silang nakapagcheck-in.

" Son, remember, kailangan nating sunduin sila MM sa airport." paalala sa kanya ng mommy niya.
" Sila?" takang tanong niya.
" Hindi ko ba nasabi? Kasama niya si Tee." sabi ng ina niya.
" Tee?!" gulat niyang sabi.
" Oo, diba sila na? Tsaka guto daw uling bumalik ni Tee rito." sabi nama ng tatay niya.
" 'Kay ma, I'll go to sleep I'm tired..." sabi nito pero parang bakit parang nagselos siya kay Tee. Noon naman sinabi niya kay Em na wala siyang nararamdaman pa rito pero ba't ngayon nagseselos siya.

Nakarating sila sa kotse. Pinagbuksan sila ng pinto at pinapasok sila agad. Yung mga bagahe nila ay isasakay na lang sa kabilang sasakyan.
" Ahhh, finally..." sabi ni Tee.

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 23)
After a week ng maging sila, t.v channels all over America spread that the two of them are officially a couple. Marami paring hindi naniniwala dahil na rin hindi pa lumalabas sa Tee sa publiko upang i-confirm ang mga ito.
Nahihirapan na rin si MM dahil marami na ang nakakakilala sa kanya. Bigla na lang siyang kakausapin ng mga babae at tatanungin kung totoo o hindi ang balita. Ang iba ay sinusubukang maging kaibigan siya.
" Sweetheart, are you okay with this situation?" worried na tanong sa kanya ni Tee.
" It is spread that we are officially a couple. Why don't we confirm it?" tanong pa nito muli.
" It is getting hard for me too, sweety. But I think the right time to tell them all this is when Tita passed the company already." she said.

" Na ano?" nagmamaang-maangan pa ring sabi ni Emily.

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 22)
* HER NEW LOVE LIFE *
It has been quite a while when she stayed in U.S. At weekends, Tee and her would go for dinner or sometimes shopping. She message Fretz, Ann, Bret, Ian and Sam sometimes but definitely not DD. Today she was preparing for their dinner outside.
Unti-unti na ring nahuhulog ang loob niya kay Tee. Kahit noon, may nararamdaman rin siya rito. Pero hindi niya talaga ito pinansin dahil sa studies niya. Kay DD lang niya talaga napagtanto na nagmamahal na pala siya.

Nagulat si Em. Tee told her they were going to eat in the city. But, why are they heading the hills?
" Tee, where are we going?" curious niyang tanong.
Ngumiti ito. " You are about to see."
" Tee, I thought we are going to have dinner in the city? Why are we going up the hills?" kabadong tanong niya.
" Don't be scared. I wanted to take you here even before. But I have no chance. Because you need to go back in the Philippines." sabi nito.
Huminto ang kotse, nasa taas na sila ng hills. Nakita ni MM ang lights ng syudad mula sa taas ng hills. She always wanted to see a view like that.
" Em, let's go." aya sa kanya ni Tee.
They were walking. Following the lights on her path.
Tee really knows her.
She liked what she is seeing. She liked the lights on her paths.
They followed the path and saw some more lights but this time, iba na...
It was floating in the air.
" Wow! I love those lights!" turo niya sa mga nagflo-float na lanterns.
" That's why I decided to take you here MM." masayang sabi ni Tee.
" Awww, thank you!" hinug niya si Tee.
" There's more Em... Let's go!" aya sa kanya ni Tee.
" Where are we going?" curios na tanong ni MM.
" We are going to see more floating lanterns" sabi ni Tee.

They were still walking she is watching the floating lanterns go up in the dark sky.
This whole thing Tee is doing for her is so romantic for her.
She is so happy.
Then they arrived in a private resto.
" I booked for us two here. I like this resto and paparazzi cannot enter. Don't worry." sabi ni Tee.
The waiter gave them their food.
Sarap na sarap kumain si MM.
Nagkwekwento naman si Tee tungkol sa trabaho niya.
Nagulat si MM ng biglang may tumunog na voilins.
" Em, I've been planning this for a long time." sabi ni Tee.
" What do you mean?" medyo nate-tense na sabi ni MM.
He clapped softly.
Then...
A Heart shaped-lantern began to go down from the sky.
" Em, I've been keeping this for a long time. I wanted to tell you that I love you. I love you. You are the only girl that made me feel like this. I love you MM." Tee said.
The heart lantern went down.
MM stand and saw something in the lantern.
A picture of her and Tee together.
Then a saying, " I love you MM"
It twisted and saw something again.
" Will you be my girl?"
It says.
" Will you be my girl MM?" Tee repeated.
She turned.
Almost teary-eyed.
She never expected him to be inlove with her.
She never expected someone would to something like this romantic for her.
She felt so happy.
" Yes!" masaya niyang sabi.
She loved him. She learnt to. But her love for him was not greater than the love she felt for DD.
Maybe it can grow by giving him a chance.
Tee was very happy. She hugged her tight.
Because of happiness he suddenly kissed her.
MM was shocked.
Tee realised what he did. He was about to back off when MM kissed him back.
After the kiss, MM blushed.
Tee hugged her again.
" I love you..." she said.
" I love you more." he said

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 21)
* PAGBABALIK TANAW *
Papasakay na siya ng eroplano. Naaalala niya ang mga nangyari.
Nagulat ang mga kaibigan niya sa ginawa niyang biglaang pag-transfer at pag-alis.
Sa mall,
" Bakit naman biglaan Em?" gulat na tanong ni Ann.
" Oo nga. Ayaw mo na ba dito? Ayaw mo na ba sa amin?" malungkot na tanong ni Fretz.
" Hindi sa ganon. Sa tingin ko lang kasi mas maganda ang kalalbasan ng par-aaral ko dun." sumulyap siya kay DD na nakatingn sa lupa.
Nakita ito ni Ann. Gets niya na.
" Basta Em, wag mo kaming kakalimutan ah." sabi na lang ni Ann.
" Kailan ang alis mo?" tanong ni Ian.
" Sa lalong madaling panahon. Na-ayos na ang lilipatan kong school." sabi ni MM.
" Ems, mag-usap tayo mamaya ah..." bulong sa kanya ni Ann.

" Guys, kailangan nanaming umalis." sabi ni Bret at Fretz.
" Ako rin guys." sabi ni Sam.
" My mom called earlier, I need to do something with her." sabi naman ni Ian.
" We need to go." sabi ni Emily at hinatak na si DD papalayo habang nakatingin ng masama kay MM.
"Wala na sila, you can tell me what really happened Em." sabi ni Ann kay MM.
Umupo sila sa isang bench.
" Ems, nalaman niya na?" takot na tanong nito.
Tumango lang si MM.
" Ems, ano nangyari?" worried na tanong ni Ann.
" Nilagnat siya nung araw na sinabi ko sa kanya ang nararamdaman ko. Sinasabi niya, mapilit ako... Naiinis daw siya sa akin dahil doon. Nasasaktan ako. Napilitan akon sabihin ang nararamdaman ko. Sinabi niya, hanggang magkaibigan lang kami. Alam mo ang sakit pag harap-harapan pala na sinabi ng isang tao na hindi ka niya mahal...." hindi niya na mapigilan ang kanina pang luha pinipigilan niyang tumulo.
" Nahalikan ko siya, nakita ni Emily. Sinampal niya ako. Pero wala akong naramdaman, dahil mas masakit yung nanggaling kay DD. Siguro tama nga si mommy. Sabi niya, " A tongue has no bones... so soft and yet it can BREAK a heart. It's physically harmless, but emotionally dangerous." Sana hindi na lang ako umuwi. Hindi sana ako magkakaganito." patuloy siyang umiiyak.
Naaawa na si Ann sa kaibigan. " Siguro tama yang desisyon mong lumayo. Malulungkot ako sa pag-alis mo, pero siguro magiging daan rin yun para makabangon at makapag-move on ka na rin." niyakap niya ang kaibigan.
" Ann, wag mong sasabihin sa iba. Gusto kong maging secret ang pag-alis ko. Sina tita at tito pa lang ang nakaka-alam. In two days time, I'll fly to America na..." malungkot niyang sabi.
" Naku, hindi ako makakapunta, may event akong pupuntahan kasama sina Papa."sabi ni Ann.
" Okay lang kahit hindi mo ako ihatid. Basta wag mong sasabihin kahit kanino." sabi ni MM.
" Mag-bonding muna kaya tayo bago ka umalis." pilit na ngumiting sabi ni MM.
*MOVING ON*
" I will miss you guys." sabi niya habang nakatingin sa mga maliliit na buildings.
By this time, nakasakay na siya sa eroplano.
Hinawakan niya ang labi niya, " my first and second kiss" sabi niya sa sarili niya.

" Tee!" excited niyang sabi ng makita itong naghihintay sa airport. Malalaman niya kung nandoon na ito o hindi dahil sa mga babaeng nakapaligid dito.
" Em!" hinawi niya ang mga babae at sinalubong si MM.
" I miss you so much!" sabi ni MM habang mahigpit na nakayakap sa kanya.
" Me too." sabi ni Tee.
Flash! Flash! Flash!
" Let's better go, these paparazzis are irritating me." sabi ni Tee.
Medyo natawa si MM. Masaya siya. Dahil kahit busy ang schedule ni Tee at kahit na alam niyang maraming paparazzi na pwedeng sumunod sa kanya, sinundo pa rin niya si MM. At least siya may time para kausapin siya. Oo nga pala mag kaiba sila. Tsaka nandito siya para kalimutan ang nararamdaman niya at ipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral.
" Sure." masayang wika ni MM.
" Where do you plan to stay?" tanong sa kanya ni Tee sa sasakyan.
" Well, I planned to stay in our old house." she said.
" Ok, why did you decide to study here so sudden?" curious nitong tanong.
" Well, I thought that if I study here, I will gain more knowledge." pagsisinungaling niya. Well half true naman 'yon.
" Well, that's quite true." sabi naman ni Tee.
" Do you want to eat first?" tanong ni Tee sa kanya.
" Ummm, it's ok. Paparazzis might see us you know." sabi ni MM kahit nagugutom na siya. Hindi siya kasi kumain sa eroplano.

" Well, I think I like to eat Chinese food."sabi ni MM. Natatakam siyang kumain ng chinese food ngayon,
" There is Panda Express. You want there?" tanong ni Tee.
" Sure." sabi niya.

" Miss, what do you want?" tanong ng babae.
Pinaupo niya si Tee at pinagsuot ng cap at shade para di makilala.
" Two fried rice, each with orange chicken. Then the other one with Honey walnut shrimp and the other one with Beijing beef." sabi ni MM.
" Ok, anything else miss?" tanong ng babae.
" No, its ok." kontentong sabi niya.
Binigay niya ang bayad at nilagay sa table nila ang pagkain.
" Mmmm... you choose nicely." natatakam na sabi ni Tee.
" Let's eat." masyang sabi ni MM.
Habang kumakain, hindi mapigilang matawa ni Tee. Natatawa siya sa pagkain ni MM. Sarap na sarap ito at halatang gutom na gutom.

"See you some other time!" pagpapalam sa kanya ni Tee.
" Bye, I'll call on my free time!" dagdag pa nito.
Papaalis na sana ito ng lumapit si MM sa sasakyan at sinabi.
" Thank you, take care while driving 'kay." hinalikan niya sa cheeks si Tee.
" You too take care." gulat man, he managed to talk.
Papasakay na siya ng eroplano. Naaalala niya ang mga nangyari.
Nagulat ang mga kaibigan niya sa ginawa niyang biglaang pag-transfer at pag-alis.
Sa mall,
" Bakit naman biglaan Em?" gulat na tanong ni Ann.
" Oo nga. Ayaw mo na ba dito? Ayaw mo na ba sa amin?" malungkot na tanong ni Fretz.
" Hindi sa ganon. Sa tingin ko lang kasi mas maganda ang kalalbasan ng par-aaral ko dun." sumulyap siya kay DD na nakatingn sa lupa.
Nakita ito ni Ann. Gets niya na.
" Basta Em, wag mo kaming kakalimutan ah." sabi na lang ni Ann.
" Kailan ang alis mo?" tanong ni Ian.
" Sa lalong madaling panahon. Na-ayos na ang lilipatan kong school." sabi ni MM.
" Ems, mag-usap tayo mamaya ah..." bulong sa kanya ni Ann.

" Guys, kailangan nanaming umalis." sabi ni Bret at Fretz.
" Ako rin guys." sabi ni Sam.
" My mom called earlier, I need to do something with her." sabi naman ni Ian.
" We need to go." sabi ni Emily at hinatak na si DD papalayo habang nakatingin ng masama kay MM.
"Wala na sila, you can tell me what really happened Em." sabi ni Ann kay MM.
Umupo sila sa isang bench.
" Ems, nalaman niya na?" takot na tanong nito.
Tumango lang si MM.
" Ems, ano nangyari?" worried na tanong ni Ann.
" Nilagnat siya nung araw na sinabi ko sa kanya ang nararamdaman ko. Sinasabi niya, mapilit ako... Naiinis daw siya sa akin dahil doon. Nasasaktan ako. Napilitan akon sabihin ang nararamdaman ko. Sinabi niya, hanggang magkaibigan lang kami. Alam mo ang sakit pag harap-harapan pala na sinabi ng isang tao na hindi ka niya mahal...." hindi niya na mapigilan ang kanina pang luha pinipigilan niyang tumulo.
" Nahalikan ko siya, nakita ni Emily. Sinampal niya ako. Pero wala akong naramdaman, dahil mas masakit yung nanggaling kay DD. Siguro tama nga si mommy. Sabi niya, " A tongue has no bones... so soft and yet it can BREAK a heart. It's physically harmless, but emotionally dangerous." Sana hindi na lang ako umuwi. Hindi sana ako magkakaganito." patuloy siyang umiiyak.
Naaawa na si Ann sa kaibigan. " Siguro tama yang desisyon mong lumayo. Malulungkot ako sa pag-alis mo, pero siguro magiging daan rin yun para makabangon at makapag-move on ka na rin." niyakap niya ang kaibigan.
" Ann, wag mong sasabihin sa iba. Gusto kong maging secret ang pag-alis ko. Sina tita at tito pa lang ang nakaka-alam. In two days time, I'll fly to America na..." malungkot niyang sabi.
" Naku, hindi ako makakapunta, may event akong pupuntahan kasama sina Papa."sabi ni Ann.
" Okay lang kahit hindi mo ako ihatid. Basta wag mong sasabihin kahit kanino." sabi ni MM.
" Mag-bonding muna kaya tayo bago ka umalis." pilit na ngumiting sabi ni MM.
*MOVING ON*
" I will miss you guys." sabi niya habang nakatingin sa mga maliliit na buildings.
By this time, nakasakay na siya sa eroplano.
Hinawakan niya ang labi niya, " my first and second kiss" sabi niya sa sarili niya.

" Tee!" excited niyang sabi ng makita itong naghihintay sa airport. Malalaman niya kung nandoon na ito o hindi dahil sa mga babaeng nakapaligid dito.
" Em!" hinawi niya ang mga babae at sinalubong si MM.
" I miss you so much!" sabi ni MM habang mahigpit na nakayakap sa kanya.
" Me too." sabi ni Tee.
Flash! Flash! Flash!
" Let's better go, these paparazzis are irritating me." sabi ni Tee.
Medyo natawa si MM. Masaya siya. Dahil kahit busy ang schedule ni Tee at kahit na alam niyang maraming paparazzi na pwedeng sumunod sa kanya, sinundo pa rin niya si MM. At least siya may time para kausapin siya. Oo nga pala mag kaiba sila. Tsaka nandito siya para kalimutan ang nararamdaman niya at ipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral.
" Sure." masayang wika ni MM.
" Where do you plan to stay?" tanong sa kanya ni Tee sa sasakyan.
" Well, I planned to stay in our old house." she said.
" Ok, why did you decide to study here so sudden?" curious nitong tanong.
" Well, I thought that if I study here, I will gain more knowledge." pagsisinungaling niya. Well half true naman 'yon.
" Well, that's quite true." sabi naman ni Tee.
" Do you want to eat first?" tanong ni Tee sa kanya.
" Ummm, it's ok. Paparazzis might see us you know." sabi ni MM kahit nagugutom na siya. Hindi siya kasi kumain sa eroplano.

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 20)
After the two weeks, they went back to the Philippines.
Tee, on the other hand, wanted to go to the Philippines to visit MM when he has free time.
It's been quite a while, Every body has been busy.

" Tee, when will you visit me here?" tanong ni MM kay Tee na kausap niya sa telepono.
" Well, my schedule is tight. I can't. But I'll update you if I have free time." sagot ni Tee.
" Oh ok." dismayadong wika ni MM.
" Awww, don't be like that." he sensed that nagtatampo si MM.
Siya lang naman kasi ang nagpapasaya kay MM sa tuwing nakikitaniyang magkasama si Emily at DD. SInusubukan nila Ann at Fretz pero mas epektibo si Tee na magpatawa o magpasaya.
" What?" nagmamaang-maangan niyang tanong.
" I know, your voice, your disappointed because I can't visit you." wika nito.
" No, it's ok Tee." sabi naman ni MM.
She heard someone calling Tee from the other line.
" Ooops, Ems, gotta go! I'll call you later if I have time. Take care, miss ya! Bye!" wika nito.
" Take care, Miss ya, Bye!" wika rin ni MM bago ibaba ang telepono.
" Ems," sabi ni Ann sa likod niya. Pagod na pagod.
" Bakit?" tanong niya.
" Wala naman, I was calling you, hindi ka naman nakakarinig." medyo may pagtatampo sa boses nito.
" I was on the phone, Sorry." sabi ni MM.
" Si Tee nanaman!" kinikilig na sabi ni Ann.
" It's been quite a while since last kaming nag-usap." sabi ni MM.
" Ay sus! Nag-drama ang ating sis! Quite a while? Sure ka? 3 days pa lang kaya!" natatawang sabi ni Ann.
" Che!" naiinis na sabi ni MM. Natawa lang si Ann sa inasal ng kaibigan. " At least now medyo masaya kana." sabi ni Ann.
Biglang natahimik si MM. Simula ng nakabalik sila mula sa America which was approximately 1 and a half ago, mas lalong naging sweet ang dalawa.
Si Tee lang ang lalaking nakakausap niya na nagpapasaya sa kanya. She find happiness in him. Pero hindi pa rin niya naaalis sa isipan at puso niya si DD.
Sa parking lot,
"Bye Ems." pagpapaalam ni Ann.
" Bye." tanging sabi niya.
Sa bahay,
Dumiretso si MM sa kwarto niya. Nakita niya ang picture nila ni Tee nung bumisita ito last year.
Nagkaroon pa nga ng rumors na si MM ang girlfriend si Tee ngayon.
Lumabas siya at hinanap ang katulong.
" Manang Sal? Manang Sal?" tawag niya.
She went down. " Ate Rose? Ate She?" walang sumasagot.
Umakyat siya muli at nakita niyang palabas si DD ng kwarto. Minsan na lang silang magkausap.
" Wala sila ngayon. Nag-leave ng isang araw." wala sa mood na sabi ni DD. Hinihimas himas nito ang ulo.
" Are you okay?" worried na tanong ni MM.
" Yeah." pero umubo ito.
" You are not." sabi ni MM.
" I said I'm fine!" pagtataas ng boses ni DD.
" Bakit ba palaging ang init ng dugo mo sa akin ha?!"galit na sabi ni MM.
" Sa tuwing nag-uusap tayo, bigla ka na lang nagtataas ng boses?!"patuloy pa ni MM.
" Ang kulit mo kasi!" sabi ni DD.
" Dahil lang doon?" gulat na tanong ni MM.
" Oo!" sabi ni DD.
Tumalikod si MM at nagsimulang maglakad papuntang kwarto niya.
BLAG!!!
Lumingon siya at nakitang bumagsak si DD sa floor. Pinipilit nitong tumayo.
Inalalayan siya ni MM patayo.
" I can manage." wala sa mood nitong sabi.
HInawakan ni MM ang ulo ni DD.
"Dee, may lagnat ka!" sabi ni MM at nagsimulang akayin ito sa kwarto nito.
" I'll get water and bimpo ha! Wag kang tatayo o magrereklamo!"
Pagbalik ni MM,
" Here." nilagay niya ang basang bimpo sa ulo nito.
" I really don't know how to, but my mom do it when I'm sick." tukoy niya sa bimpong nilagay niya sa ulo ni Dee.
" Huh! Really?" natatawang mayabang na pagkasabi nito.
Hindi na nagsalita si MM.
Lumabas muna siya. Pumasok siyang muli sa kwarto nito ng gabi na, may dalang lugaw.
Nakita niyang nakatayo ito at papaupo na sa bed.
" I cooked." tipid niyang sabi.
Susubuan na niya sana ito ng umiwas siya.
" I can do it by myself"matigas na sabi ni DD.
" But you are sick." sabi ni MM.
" That's why I don't like talking to you! Palagi kang mapilit! And I hate it when you do that!" galit na sabi nito. Tumayo siya at medyo lumayo kay MM.
Halos mangiyak ngiyak na si MM. " Dee, matagal na kitang mahal! Baka nga siguro ako mapilit dahil sa nararamdaman ko para sa iyo. Kaya siguro I like doing things for you. Para kahit man lang sa mga ganoong bagay maiparamdam ako sa iyo na mahal kita!" tulo ng tulo ang luha ni MM. " Hindi ko na kayang itago pa ito! Nahihirapan na ako. I've been keeping this for like almost 2 years!" Tumayo siya at unti unting lumapit kay DD.
" Dee," pumikit siya at dumampi ang labi niya sa labi ni DD.
Bumukas ang pinto. Nakita ni Emily na hinalikan ni MM si DD. Nagmadali siyang lapitan si MM.
PAK!
Isang malakas na sampal ang natanggap na sampal ni MM mula kay Emily.
" Sabihin mo sa akin Babe, bakit ka hinalikan ng babaeng ito? Bakit, hindi mo na ba ako mahal at siya ang ipapalit mo sa akin? Ha?!" galit na sabi ni Emily.
" I never loved her! Kaibigan lang ang turing ko sa kanya. Hindi ko siya minahal babe. Maniwala ka sa akin. Mahal na mahal kita!" hinalikan ni DD si Emily.
Matapos iyon, " Lumayas ka sa harapin namin! Huwag mong ipagsiksikan ang sarili mo sa kanya dahil ako ang mahal niya, hindi ikaw!" sigaw sa kanya ni Emily.
" Dee, are we just friends? Hanggang pagkakaibigan na lang ba tayo?" nakayukong sabi ni MM. Tulo ng tulo ang luha niya. Hindi niya mapigilang tumulo ag luha.
" Get out of my room! I don't love you! Kaibigan lang ang tingin ko sayo!" sigaw rin ni DD sa kanya.
Tumakbo siya palabas at inilock ang kwarto niya. Nagkulong siya at umiyak ng umiyak. Hindi niya namalayang nakatulog na pala siya.
Nagising siya 3 am. Lumabs siya ng kwarto, sinilip niya si DD. Wala ito. Bumaba siya, nakita niya na dumating n ang mga katulong.
" Ate Rose anong oras ka dumating?" tanong niya ng makita itong umiinom ng tubig.
" Ay, MM kaninang 11 pm . Sinilip kita sa kwarto mo tulog ka na. Si Daniel naman wala sa kwarto. Alam mo ba kung nasan yung lalaking yon?" sabi ng katulong. " Oh, umiyak ka ba?" ng mapansing namumula pa ang mata nito.
" Ay hindi po Ate Rose. Yung mata ko, naiyak lang po ako ng maalala ko sina Mommy at Daddy." pagsisinungaling niya.
" Ah ganun ba? O sige, alis na ako. Matulog ka na. Mamaya na pala ang dating nina Maam Marie at Sir Richard." sabi pa ng katulong.
Bumalik si MM sa kwarto.
Napag-isip isip niya.
Bumalik na lang kaya siya sa America at ipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral. Nasabi niya na kay DD ang nararamdaman niya pero mas lalo lang sumama ang sitwasyon. Lalo na para sa kanya. Mas lalo lang siyang nasaktan. Yung narinig mula sa bibig nito na hindi siya nito mahal at hanggang sa pagiging kaibigan lang ang turing nito sa kanya, masakit yon. Hindi niya kaya yung sakit, masakit yung sampal sa kanya ni Emily. Pero mas masakit yung narinig niya kay DD.

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 19B)
* THE EVENT *
The said event took part the next day. DD was in shock to see his parents in Vegas. He was more shocked when they told him the event was about MM's birthday.
He was arranging his suit when someone knocked at his door.
He opened the door and saw Emily.
" Hi babe!" bati nito sa kanya.
He kissed her in the cheeks and so is her.
" Let's go down..." yaya nito sa kanya.
" Ok." tipid nitong sagot.
" Do I look good on my gown?" alanganing tanong nito.
" Of course you do!" sabi ni DD.

The said event took part the next day. DD was in shock to see his parents in Vegas. He was more shocked when they told him the event was about MM's birthday.

Sa counter, " Taylor Lautner? Di makapaniwalangsabi ng american girl sa counter. Ngumiti lang si Tee. " Can I take a picture with you?" excited na tanong nito sa kanya. " Sure." ngiting sabi nito. " Miss can you take a picture for the two of us?" tanong nito. " O-ok." tanging sabi ni MM.
Matapos ang picture taking, binigay ni MM and necklaces na bibilin niya. Tinignan ito ng babae. Nakita niya ang nakalagay, " I♥M "
"Have someone special?" tanong ng babae kay MM ng maibigay nito ang sukli. Tumango siya. Special din naman kasi sa kanya si Tee.
" This please." sabi ni Tee habang binibigay ang necklace. " I♥T "

Are We Just Friends? ( Chapter 18B)
The next day, they went to Grand Canyon.
They got out of the car, walked a few more steps. And there they are, there they are, GRAND CANYON!
It is quite cloudy that day. But it brought back memories.
She haven't seen this place for quite a long time. She saw her parents faces in the clouds smiling back at her.
" Ang daya daya Mom! Magkasama kayong masayang pero ako mag-isa. Mulungkot. Sana isinama nyo na lang ako!" she said to herself. Almost teary-eyed.
She turned, saw the two of them happy looking at the view. DD pointing out somethings. Emily looking in amazement. She felt so jealous.
Ann saw her friend. Almost teary-eyed. She approached her.
" Ems, you okay?" she asked even though she knows her answer.
" I'm fine..." she said.
"Even though you are really not that fine." Ann said.

Papalapit na sa kanila si Taylor.

" Well, doin' fine! I heard you are going here. That's why I visited! How about you? Are you doing fine in Philippines?" tanong nito sa kanya.

" Later I'm planning to go out. Wanna join me?" tanong ni Tee.

They changed clothes and went outside.
" Ems, I'm here!" sabi ng boses sa likod ni MM.
" Tee! So your room is near ours?" tanong ni MM
" Yeah... Opposite side of your room. (smiled)" sabi nito. " Where are the others?" dagdag pa nito.
" Sam,Ann and Ian are down already. Emily and Dee too." she said.
" So, let's go?" sabi ni Tee.
" Okay!" she said.
" I noticed Dee and the Emily girl are close. Are they somewhat-" he said while walking on the corridors. He was cut because...
" Like couples? Well they are couples." she said. Out of the mood...
" Really!" he said. " I thought a guy like Dee would not like a girl like her. I noticed how think her make-up is. And that girl looks more like opposite of you." he said.
" Huh! I think he liked that girl even before. When she came back from U.K. after somewhat two weeks, they become a couple." MM said.
" Wow! Dee is fast." he said.
" Guys!!!" Ian shouted.
Someone noticed something. Why is Tee and MM so close? Tee is holding Em's hands and so is Ems.
They got out of the car, walked a few more steps. And there they are, there they are, GRAND CANYON!
She haven't seen this place for quite a long time. She saw her parents faces in the clouds smiling back at her.
" Ang daya daya Mom! Magkasama kayong masayang pero ako mag-isa. Mulungkot. Sana isinama nyo na lang ako!" she said to herself. Almost teary-eyed.
She turned, saw the two of them happy looking at the view. DD pointing out somethings. Emily looking in amazement. She felt so jealous.
Ann saw her friend. Almost teary-eyed. She approached her.
" Ems, you okay?" she asked even though she knows her answer.
" I'm fine..." she said.
"Even though you are really not that fine." Ann said.
MM let out a sigh. She looked at DD and Emily.

" Let's enjoy the view." Sam said on her back.
She turned and hugged him. " Thanks!" She said.

Ann giggled. At least her friend was a little happy.
They went to Grand Canyon Airport. Ride a plane. And saw the aerial view of Grand Canyon. What an amazing place!!!
" We'll go to Nevada. I guess we can stay at your hotel Ems?" tanong ni DD.
" Eh diba yun naman ang plano. Wala namang problema diba? Ba't kailangan pa akong tanungin tungkol doon." mataray na sabi ni MM habang papasakay ng sasakyan.
" Oo nga pala. Okay. Cool down." pahayag ni DD.
" Silverpine Hotel and Casino here we gooo!!!" sabay na sabi ni Ian at Sam.
Sila ang pinakamaingay sa barkada simula ng makarating sa U.S.

" Ay maam, may guest nga palang darating sa hotel niyo po ngayon daw po. Yung isa niyo pong friend daw po ata sa hollywood." pahayag ng driver.
Oo. may kaibigan sila sa hollywood. May iilang kaibigan din ang mga magulang niya sa showbiz.

" Talaga! I miss that guy! The last time I saw him sa funeral nina Mommy at Daddy!" excited na sabi ni MM...
